This open-rank tenure-track position requires a specialization in sculpture with a broad interdisciplinary practice. This might include experience in installation, digital media, time-based mediums (video, performance, etc.), social-engagement works, site-specific works, conceptual art, along with expertise in traditional sculptural methods. The ideal candidate will contribute to the growth and development of our makerspace, a new initiative that creates an inclusive environment to promote engagement in technological and creative projects among our diverse student population.  The successful candidate will have a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and mentoring students who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, ability, nationality, and religion.

This artist will teach 4 courses per year which may include Studio Foundations, Sculpture I, Sculpture II, Special Topics in Sculpture, and interdisciplinary advanced-level studio seminars. Required qualifications are an MFA in visual art, with a preference for a minimum of 3 years of college-level teaching experience beyond graduate teaching assistantship and a significant exhibition record at a national and international level. Individuals at associate and full professor ranks are encouraged to apply.
