GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Mount Holyoke College invites applications for an immediate opening of the part-time Assistant Volleyball Coach position in the athletics department.

Responsibilities will include assisting in daily practice preparation and training, on court coaching, scouting opponents, recruiting prospective student-athletes, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. The assistant coach will be expected to communicate and develop a rapport with student-athletes, faculty and staff.

The ideal candidate is someone who is seeking to gain valuable collegiate coaching experience on a part-time basis, such as a recent graduate, graduate student, club/high school coach or someone seeking to transition into collegiate coaching. It is preferred that candidates have a strong knowledge of the game, collegiate playing or coaching experience, experience coaching female student-athletes, strong oral/writing skills and access to a computer.

 • Part-time: 10-30 hours/week

 • $11/hour

• Expected to assist in the non-traditional season practices (3/19- 4/20) and the regular season (8/18-11/9/2018) practices and games.

 • Additional hours outside of practice times and competition are flexible
