The Asian Studies Program at Mount Holyoke College invites applications for a one-year, non-renewable Visiting Lecturer in Chinese beginning Fall 2019 with competitive salary and benefits. The position requires teaching four courses per year, participating in co-curricular activities for the Chinese program, and contributing to the learning community.

Applicants are expected to have at least a Master’s degree in Chinese language, education, linguistics or a related field with native or near native proficiency in Chinese and English, and experience teaching Chinese language at the college level. Candidates with innovative pedagogical approaches to teaching Chinese as a foreign language and experience teaching advanced level Chinese courses, particularly content-oriented courses such as Business Chinese, Teaching Chinese through Film or News Reports, and Translation (from English to Chinese or/and Chinese to English) are especially encouraged to apply.
